Obviously the 2008 title game was my favorite, but I loved a lot of the other ones. I pretty much agree on the ones that you loved other than the Laker game (but I bet you loved that one because you hate the Kings) as well as that Detroit-San Antonio game.
I loved it when the Red Sox beat the Yankees in '04, and HATED it when they lost in '03. Nearly made me puke. I also hated the 2003 Fiesta Bowl, horrible officiating! And I hated Super Bowl XLIII. Also, why did they include a meaningless soccer game? haha
But why did you hate seeing Phelps win his 7th gold medal? Way to be patriotic. Don't tell me you rooted for that one Asian swimmer!

Actually I was rooting for a Pac-10 swimmer. The guy he beat went to Cal. Alot of Pac-10 alumni were part of the track and swimming teams. I was also annoyed by Phelps's arrogance during most of the olympics.
What was so bad about the Detroit San Antonio game? I thought the Pistons are a rival of your Bulls.

Man, you really only root for Pac-10 alumni, haha. You must hate Phelps because he's from the Big Ten. Yeah he was arrogant, but the guy won eight gold medals, and was very classy about it for the most part. And yeah he smokes pot, but so do a lot of people.
I usually don't like them, but Larry Brown is the man, nothing but respect for him. Only in 2004 and 2005 did I root for the Pistons, and Brown was the reason why. I loved it when he beat your Lakers!

The media coverage of Phelps was as bad as the coverage on ESPN for Tiger Woods and Brett Favre. It was annoying throughout the olympics to think of Phelps while there were more things than just Phelps winning 8 gold medals.
Funny fact: Michael Phelps couldn't swim on the Michigan team because of all the endorsements he had from companies after winning medals in Athens. The NCAA couldn't rule him as an amateur from it. Phelps is from the Big 10, but he's an East coast guy from Maryland.
Usually when it comes to Pac-10 people, Cal, Stanford and UCLA alumni get first priority. I don't always care for every Pac-10 person, but Cal, Stanford and UCLA get extra love.
When the Lakers lost to the Pistons... I thought the world had ended.... that was sure bad. You should just be happy Larry Brown has gotten alot of money from Dinksters Knicks...

The one thing I found funny is the East coast bias on this list (as ESPN always is...) I thought the Rally Monkey coming alive to beat the Giants in the 2002 world series would be there. I know what you're thinking... who did I root for? I rooted for the Angels that world series only because the Giants are more hated. The good news was I didn't hear too many Angel fans bragging after they won it all... I'd never hear the end of it from Giants fans. And it is similar to the upside when the Yankees won this year... can't stand the Angels and was happy I wouldn't hear it from Angel fans I know. Sure it sucked seeing the Yankees win, but I don't hear much bragging locally... only those few painful Yankee fans but smaller than the amount of Angels/Giants.
I guess it has to be a Yankees or Red Sox thing to make it part of the list.
