I'm trying to make a live chat where everybody can make it to. Which night works? I'm starting out with Wednesday. (Kige, you should make these too!)

Since I'm home from my honeymoon, maybe I can make it. Go for it!

Yes, Kige gave me a Cover It Live account. Current start time is tomorrow night at 7:00 CT (that's 8:00 for Whale and Dinkins, 5:00 for Roller). Tell me if that can't work out, because I don't want to start a live chat with only two people there! And Kige you better show up at least for a short amount of time!

I read the chat when I came back from the mini "party" last night. Didn't realize you guys got so political on gay marriage and health care. But I sure agree with Scott on Gay Pride parades. I'm so thankful I don't have to see that garbage in SF... if not the rainbow flags. I get annoyed how some Gay people will sometimes demand for special treatment because they're gay.
I know some gays who flaunt it abusively. It is really annoying if not hearing that prick Gavin Newsom talk. Stupid Gavin Newsom and San Francisco.
I'm not a big fan of universal Health Care either. Maybe it's because I have insurance and my famliy isn't part of the 40 million who are "screwed".... Why pay for someone's healthcare when I'm not sick?

And I agree with Roller on the universal health care. I have insurance and don't see why I should pay for someone else's health care.

It's the same reason you pay a school tax even if you don't have kids in school. We are a society. We need to live as a society. Seems like greed not to pitch in a little bit for health insurance. No one will be put out by it.

And if you guys are going to use religion as your reason as to why you're against gay marriage then why doesn't religion apply here? Doesn't Christianity preach to help the sick, poor and unfortunate? Roller, by saying you aren't "screwed" seems pretty greedy to me.

Gay is a sin. Leviticus 18:22
Sure people have the right to be gay... but the marriage part is a large sin. Can't stand that.
School is different from healthcare.....

No it isn't. And respond to the religious part of health care I gave you.

Yes, homosexuality IS immoral. I understand that some people can't help the fact that they are gay, but why should they get married? People always compare gay marriage to interracial marriage. Interracial marriage doesn't mean anything, it's still a man and woman getting married. But two men getting married? Two women getting married? That just doesn't sound right, at all.
Most people have their health care covered anyway. Sure we should pay some taxes relating to health care, but not a damn lot. Roller is right, education is much different from health care.
And I don't get why everybody thought that John McCain was going to raise taxes for the lower class and lower taxes for the upper class. He was going to lower taxes for ALL CLASSES. Stupid liberals.

Most people are NOT covered. There are 40-50 million uninsured Americans! That's a HUGE number! Taxes would be minimal. And like school taxes, health taxes would be for the better good of society. How is it different Roller, Scottie? You'd be flipping a gasket if school taxes were being proposed now.
Being gay is not a disease. I don't see how it affects anyone! Well it will pass soon enough and that will be that.
I happen to like McCain. He is better than most republicans as he leans left in many ways. John Kerry almost chose him as his VP candidate in 2004.

John Kerry is the biggest New England Scum... He bought a Cheesesteak once and ordered it with Swiss cheese. Whale... isn't it illegal to do that? I do find it interesting his wife is a closet conservative and her first husband was a great Senator.
I do find that we still never have lived with Gay Marriage... why have it exist today? Tradition should stay.
Why are so many Americans uninsured? Is it because Michael Moore made it look like that in the movie Sicko??

McCain is the Republican version of Joe Lieberman. I don't get why so many people hated him during the election. I guess I understand why they hated Sarah Palin, but not McCain. (I personally didn't have much against Palin, I thought that she might have done much better than everybody thought she would have. Frankly though McCain made a mistake choosing Palin as his running mate and that led to his downfall)
Kerry sucks. I voted for Bush in 2004, but it was more because I was against Kerry. Such an idiotic asshole. I think we should be thankful he wasn't elected president. Bush was better than Kerry would have been! I also can't stand that scum Al Gore!
Gay marriage won't pass anytime soon. Obama doesn't even seem to be that much in favor of gay marriage. I know he doesn't make that decision, but I feel that more Americans are against it and it won't pass in a long time.
Yes there are a large number of uninsured Americans, and a lot of them need health care, but Obama seems to really be raising taxes on this issue. And Michael Moore is an ass, why so many people like him is beyond me.
