I don't care if it were 0.00001%. How wrong does your statement saying "homosexuals don't have all the rights as heterosexuals sound"?
All men are created equal right? Denying gays the right to marriage means you don't agree with that statement. .

I've met gays that said they don't even want to marry. I'm sure that applies for a lot of gay people, they don't want to marry. I know that a lot of them do, but a lot also don't.
Besides, it's only marriage that they aren't granted. It's not like they aren't allowed to vote, and they aren't being treated as slaves either!

The Marriage thing is just wrong. Anything else is fine, just marriage is something I don't agree with. It would influence churches the wrong way and possibly ruin the classrooms for children.

How does it influence the classroom Roller? Doesn't effect anyone.
And Scottie, if a gay couple doesn't want to get married that's fine. Alot of hetero couples don't want to get married either. But everyone person on the planet should have the right to have that decision.

Roller that is retarded. Homosexuality isn't something that kids see and then want to be it. You're either gay or your not. Sexual feelings don't change on what you see or are exposed too. My wife's uncle is a gay man, and that didn't make her younger brother gay. One of my teachers in high school was gay, and I didn't become gay. That is one of the dumbest things to say is that someone's homosexuality will make someone who wouldn't be gay, gay. It might help a gay person come out, but they were gay anyway. So dumb, Roller. Such an ignorant statement. I find it how conservatives hate government interference, but yet they want the gov't to say gays can't get married. So hypocritical!

I don't think Roller meant that it would make the kids gay. I think he meant that if there was gay marriage, it would serve as a bad influence to kids, and it might, but I'm not sure. Doesn't mean it will make the kids gay. You're either gay or you're not gay, as Whale said. I don't think Roller meant it like that.
He's right about it being a bad influence on churches though. Why should churches allow a same sex wedding? It pretty much gives the lord a bad name, it said in the Bible that homosexuality is immoral. I know not everybody believes in the Bible, but the churches certainly do, deffinitely can't allow gay marriage in a church.
How many married gay couples are there in the United States? I highly doubt there are very many. Small minority.

It would NOT serve as a bad influence to kids. That is ignorance at its worst right there. You're born with your sexual feelings and you will feel one way or the other based on your own genes, not what those around you are doing.
And weddings in churches are just symbolic. You still have to go get a legal marriage license from wherever you're from. And plenty of churches perform gay ceremonies already. Scottie, you're point of there are only a few gay marriages isn't a good argument. They should have the right to say yes/no to marriage and not automatically being told no by their local gov't.
