I just I should point this one out since we're all sports junkies. I'll fill out one game per sport.
First we'll start with college basketball.
The best game I ever saw was this one.
HOWEVER:
From a neutral standpoint this is the best game I think I've ever seen.
Fill the best college basketball game now... I'll switch sports after everyone has posted their response.
GROUND RULE: 1. You had to have seen or listened to the game by TV, in person or radio to it's entirety. So Whale... I don't think you can count the 1985 championship in there.
2. You don't need to use youtube to explain, you can always say it in words what happened.
I know Scottie's game will be the 2008 national championship.

Nice thread Roller! And yeah, I wasn't even a year old when we upset Georgetown.
This is the best game I've watched start to finish. Last year's classic Elite 8 win over Pitt!

Ummm, cool thread, gotta think about this since I don't have one with my team. I'm thinking Vermont over Syracuse or George Mason over UConn.

It doesn't have to be your team... just any good game from a neutral perspective or your perspective.

First, let's start with the single greatest college basketball squad since the UCLA dynasty, the 95-96 Kentucky Wildcats
My mom was sleeping on the couch when this next game took place... needless to say she woke I terrified once I began screaming at the top of my lungs
And finally, what most consider the not only the best tournament game ever, but flat out the best college basketball game... period. Yeah, we lost, but we had no right being that close to that Duke team... Coack K even said once he saw how dejected the Kentucky players were he couldn't even celebrate, because he know how much more heart they played with than his team to even be close to winning, with players nobody else wanted but probation ridden Kentucky
Yeah, like i'd really put the real clip up. And like i'd really my last "greatest game" clip be us losing. I'm gonna have to go with our 1998 victory over Duke in the Elite 8, in which we came back from 18 down. We didn't even have our first lead until the final 2 minutes

Not even close:
The best game I ever saw that did not involve Kansas was Illinois-Arizona. I thought there would be no way Illinois could come back, and yet they did:

It's amazing Kansas won that game after Rose banked in that three with nothing on the shot clock. Even Nantz called it the shot of the tournament, haha.

I also remember that Patrick Sparks shot, that pissed me off, haha. But Michigan State did win!

Don't remind of 2005 Zona vs. Illinois.. That was sure ugly. I have respect for Bruce Weber though so no hard feelings. I got over it better than Zona fans probably have.

How could that piss you off? Man, you really are a Pac-10 homer!

That year I had nothing better to do but root for Pac-10 schools. That was Howland's first year in the tourney still with Lavin holdovers. I'll do it in bowl season assuming UCLA doesn't make a bowl game at this rate.

Does it really matter who wins 31 of the 32 bowls? They are merely exhibitions.

Does it really matter who wins 31 of the 32 bowls? They are merely exhibitions. Which is the reason we needed a playoff

You know the conference gets a bowl challenge cup trophy for the best bowl record right? in 2007, the Mountain West won it with a 4-1 record and in 2008, the Pac-10 won after a 5-0 record.

No I didn't know that, and now that I do, my stance on the bowls is the same. Who gives a crap which conference wins the most games?

Of course it's an ESPN creation. ESPN sucks. I love how they say Bowl Week is the most wonderful time of the year. Who really cares who wins the Meinke Car Care Bowl and all those other crappy games they have.
