Kentucky defeated NAIA Campbellsville tonight. They had a lot of turnovers, but most of them were self inflicted, as Cal said would happen at the beginning of the season as they were trying to learn the DDMO.
Daniel Orton looked better than DeMarcus Cousins, which is saying something cause Cousins looked good. Eric Bledsoe is a beast, all that dude did was make plays all game long. All I can say is that if he was ranked lower than Wall, I can't even fathom the skills Wall will display when he gets back on the court.
We played inferior competition, but still need to do a better job of handling the ball. I know it's just the first game and they have had hardly no time at all practicing as a full team, but I like what I see so far.

I don't for the life of me understand why UK would even want to play Campbellsville? They will not even consider WKU! At least you would have a little more competition and have a better idea of what your team is all about. Forget the exhibition and go to more challenging scrimmages!

If it takes you 3OTs to beat WKU you aren't going to sniff the Final Four!

Kentucky's non-conference scheduling is usually pretty weak. The only good team they scheduled this year is UConn (I'm not including UNC and Louisville in this case because you play them every year). I guess playing WKU would boost your SOS!

Nova's non-conference is ridiculously easy unless I'm missing a big team in one of those preseason tournaments.

Coach Cal said that Kentucky will no longer be playing these kinds of exhibitions. They were already scheduled prior to this season, which is the only reason they went through them. He said starting next year they'll be doing what schools like North Carolina are doing, which is "scrimmaging" against other Division 1 schools.

Kansas defeated Fort Hays State 107-68! Not that it matters. I know this is a Division II team that we faced, but you guys need to watch out for the Jayhawks! Xavier Henry is an absolute stud, I know some UK fans wish that wasn't the case, but it is!

Kansas is loaded... Gonna have to root for anyone in the big 12 not named Kansas or Oklahoma. Come on Rick Barnes, Travis Ford, Mark Turgeon and Mike Anderson!!!
