The funny thing is Duke Vitale said in his top 5 teams in his opinion are Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, Villanova and Purdue!!! Is he trying to jinx everyone so the ACC jumps in there like he always wants it? He also said Kansas should win it all on ESPN

I do wonder... who does Nova hate when it comes to conference rivals? I don't know the Big East well enough seeing your school's football team isn't in the big east.

Georgetown is probably our biggest rival. Syracuse and UConn are decent ones too.

Is Georgetown still jealous of 1985 or what? I know Uconn and Cuse are rivals to each other.. they can all lose! jk. The only big east schools I don't mind are the sucky ones like South Florida and Dinkster's St. John's. Also Pitt's coach is cool seeing he's a pupil of Howland.

I appreciate that Roller, haha... unlike USF, we were good once, and I think are 5th or 6th on the list of all-time winners...

I do remember St. John's being in the tournament when I first followed college bball. Didn't know the players, but I do remember the team.

Michael Redd's Ohio State team kept the Johnny's out of the Final Four in 1999 with an OT win in the Elite 8.

Haha Roller really loves the Pac-10, he even italizes Cal and Washington!
Being preseason #1 is nice and all, but I'd rather be 3rd or 4th. It's pretty meaningless to me.
At least some people realize Kentucky isn't a #2 team!

Why not love the Pac-10? Those are two schools not named USC. Seeing my bruins will be down this year.. I got nothing better to do. During bowl season last year I had nothing better to do but root for Pac-10 schools and I might have to do it again at this rate.

You realize we're pretty injured this coming year. As I said in another thread... 6 people injured and this team is full of sophmores and freshman. We would need talent alone to win which is something really hard to do. That 2005-2006 team just had the talent to do it with the sophmores, freshman and Lavin holdovers.... but I don't think this team has it.

Surprised UL is #23. I gotta think we are going to take our lumps in the Big East. But outside of Nova and WVU, most of the conference will be rebuilding. Maybe we can get hot and do something. Personally, I'd be happy with a decent tourney seed and perhaps get a chance to upset someone in the second round and get into the Sweet 16.
