Just go ahead and talk about any playoff games you saw in this thread since the other one had the predictions. I couldn't watch the Dodgers, but I went nuts when I heard Vin Scully make the calls by radio. I was happy to hear him seeing he hasn't called alot of games this season but I think he was back for the postseason.
Alot of my friends were silenced after the Dodgers won yesterday.

I watched a few Dodgers games this season when the cable had MLB Extra Innings previews. Scully puts you to sleep on tv. Can't wait for my Phils to take down your favorite NL team Roller!

If the Phillies can get anything out of their bullpen they will win the series in 5 games.

True... It's a question of the Phillies bullpen. I originally didn't want to face the Cardinals in the postseason.. but I don't know how we kicked Carpenter and took advantage of an error by Matt Holliday (Good riddance!!).
Dodgers bullpen is solid as I've seen them in person against the Giants. They had no starter for that game and hung in there until they eventually lost on a walk off in the 11th inning. They allowed 2 runs in 9 innings and got out of jams with just bullpen pitchers.
Dodger hitting is deep, but I know Cliff Lee will have something to say about that and it worries me.

Cole Hamels could be the difference in the series. If he pitches anywhere near what he did last year, the Phils have the best two SPs in the series by far. I like Billingsley, but he's been AWFUL! Hamels is key, and of course you guys have a big edge in the pen. Without Lidge and Madson, the Phils wouldn't have sniffed the World Series last year, and now the Phils have a much better team, but those two may keep them out of the series. Funny how baseball works.

Baseball is a sport where you can have a down or up year in a one year span. It naturally happened to David Ortiz this year.
Chad Billingsley's injury was a big cause and reason we struggled with him. I will puke if Jason Werth steals home plate again. At least we can win in Philly and it isn't impossible. I believe the Dodgers won the series when it was out there. The Dodgers are deep in hitting 1-7. Whether it's Matt Kemp, Andre Either, Rafael Furcal, James Loney, Orlando Hudson (or Ronnie Belliard), Casey Blake, Russell Martin and even Manny Ramirez, the lineup is very balanced and solid with some power hitters as well as clutch hitters.
The bench is decent too with Brad Ausmus, Mark Loretta, Juan Castro or Juan Pierre, they can pinch hit at any time. Manny Ramirez is the only guy struggling a bit right now but everyone else can hit for the most part.

Don't forget Jim Thome off the pine, haha...

Jim Thome's trade I thought wouldn't be that good. He hasn't done too much. but I guess if we want a double or home run he will be used. Jon Garland's trade isn't bad...

Garland isn't scheduled for a start in the series...

I remember frowning when we signed Padilla.. I actually was at his last game as a Texas Ranger in Oakland. He looked pretty mediocre out there. Now I'm thrilled the way he's played.

He had the swine flu earlier this season...

He did.. but also had off the field trouble too. I think he knew his cheap contract with the Dodgers is his last chance at redemption. He would be done if he sucked with us.

Apparently LeBron is being treated for Swine Flu too. But anyway, I'd sell my left testicle for the Dodgers to win this series. I'm so sick of the Phuckin Phillies. I think I'd shoot myself if its Phillies/Yankees in the World Series. Personally, I hope Torre goes back to NY and sticks it too his old team! That would be perfect. The Angels winning would be ok too.

If the Dodgers lose, I'll have to root for the Phillies. I can't stand those idiotic Angel bandwagoner fans and of course the hated Yankees.

I don't really care who wins the NLCS. I don't care too much for either the Dodgers or the Phillies, but I guess I picked the Dodgers so maybe I'll root for them. Not the end of the world if the Phils win. But the Angels better beat those goddamn Bankees.
All I can say is, GIVE THE AL CY YOUNG TO ZACKKKKKKKK GREINKKKKKKKKE!

1-0 baby! I thought I was going to have a stroke, but closing out games will be this way the rest of the postseason.

That Phillies pen is going to cost you back to back titles.

I agree, the Phillies bullpen is what would cost them the series. I think the Dodgers will take Game 2 tonight.
