Titans see message in cut playerThe Titans released receiver Chris Davis on Monday, citing his troublesome hamstring injury — not his DUI arrest last week — as the primary reason.
Yet while Coach Jeff Fisher insisted there was no message behind the roster move, it got the attention of his players. Davis, who raised expectations with a good offseason, is no longer among them.
"There has to be something underlying there,'' linebacker Keith Bulluck said. "I don't know the meaning, but it is food for thought for this team.''
Others said a message came through loud and clear.
Davis was charged with DUI early Friday in Nashville while the Titans were in Texas preparing for their game against the Cowboys. Davis did not travel with the team because of the injury.
The Titans waived Davis injured, which means they will have to reach a settlement with him. He was scheduled to make $460,000 this season.

OK??? So if I'm making 460,000 bucks... why am I drinking and driving? Why don't I have a damn LIMO? Or even a CAB?
I don't understand how all these professional players get these damn DUI's? (Well ok, Gillispie really isn't professional, so I can see why he got his,,, he had been playing golf) but the others?
Makes no sense to me at all!
