Former University of Kentucky basketball coach Billy Gillispie was arrested early Thursday in Anderson County. Lawrenceburg Police said Gillispie was pulled over in a white 2009 Mercedes with Texas tags around 2:45 a.m. on US 127 after someone reported seeing the car driving erratically. Gillispie was arrested and charged with DUI. We're told Gillispie refused to take a breathalizer or blood alcohol test. Police said a passenger, 42-year-old Charles O'Conner was also arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication. We're told when police pulled Gillispie over, he told police he and O'Conner had been golfing. Officers said they smelled a strong odor of alcohol on the former coach. Gillispie and O'Conner were taken to the Franklin County jail. This is not the first time Billy Gillispie has been charged with driving under the influence. In 1999, he was arrested and charged with DUI in Oklahoma. He later pled guilty to a lesser charge. In 2003, during Gillispie's first years as coach at the University of Texas-El Paso, he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after driving the wrong way down a one-way street. Those charges were later dropped. We will continue following this story and bring you updates as they become available and on LEX 18 News at Noon. Wow what a drunk ass. Can't believe he's still living in Kentucky. He's not living here. Rumors are, he was here in meetings yesterday with UK to discuss a settlement, and I suppose to play a few Ho's of golf at 2:30 in the morning! Oh yeah, and get arrested!

Gillispie is a complete idiot, you have to think of a better excuse than going to play golf like something like I accidently got drunk.

Something weird is going on in Kentucky. A skeaze, a cheat, and now a drunk!
