BIG RED ON CAPITAL ONE'S 2009 ALL-AMERICA MASCOT TEAM WKU's Big Red has been named to the 2009 Capital One All-America Mascot Team, made up of a group of 12 oversized and often underappreciated characters including two dogs, a tiger, a horse, a bearcat, a turtle, a duck, a frog, a badger, and a goat, and a big red creature. Each one of these mascots will be putting their best paw, hoof and leg forward while vying for the most coveted title in the land, "Capital One Mascot of the Year." It's the sixth time in eight years that Big Red has been voted to the Capital One All-America Mascot Team. Voting begins on August 31st and runs through December.
