Well, Kige's beloved Gators top the poll. I can understand that. Bama is very overrated. Notre Dame is in the poll because they're Notre Dame. And Kansas is barely left out of the poll (we would be ranked 26th in the nation, haha).

Other than that, I guess the poll makes sense. Get this, there are ZERO Big East teams! And 4 non-BCS teams (which makes sense).

Haha Zero Big East teams. This is funny. That means I'll see a ranked Utah team come here this fall. I think Pre-season rankings can be a little deceiving. Yes it is fun to read, but I hope the teams don't look at it.

No big deal, just count how many of these "preseason ranked" teams will be ranked at season's end. I'm really not a fan of preseason rankings as much. Sure it gives us stuff to talk about but I still find it a little bit ridiculous to be making a big deal about these rankings when the real season hasn't started.

I agree, but I do think it's interesting to see how the sportswriters and coaches look at teams before the season starts. I think they're worth it, but in the end, they have no impact on the season really.

They shouldn't release rankings until Oct 1st.
