Honestly, our lives would be simpler if it was just Kige Ramsey, not Captain Cheeseburger or John C. Breckenridge or Chucky Cheese, just leave it the way it is  Also, do we need that many announcements? |

Rock Chalk Jayhawk was adopted by a chemistry professor back in 1886, because he wanted some sort of chant for the science club (pretty lame, haha). They decided for the chant to be "Rah, Rah Jayhawk, KU." They decided to replace the two rahs with "Rock Chalk" because of the limestone, or chalk rock, which was all around Mount Oread (where the University of Kansas is located on top of, it's a hill not a mountain). And thus the Rock Chalk chant was born. Teddy Roosevelt called it the greatest college chant ever.
