Jeez, who thought a crappy team would get so much play! Raiders go for 6 wins in 2009!

I don't know how Cable will keep his job. Davis is more impatient with coaches than I am if Kansas is losing a lot, which says a lot.

Actually, Cable displays a passion that other Raider coaches haven't showed. The Raiders aren't playing to win 6 games. If our team chemistry is good, and our numbers aren't as embarrassing as those 2006 and 2007 years, he will stay. We have a good team when it comes to work ethic.

I actually can't make raider games. I find football games too expensive and I'd rather buy a jersey for the price of a ticket instead. Alot of people just wear their costumes that are "Black." I have been surrounded by Raider Nation after a game on the local "Subway" train. There is a stop that directly takes you to the A's/Raider/Golden State Warriors area. Yes a Raider fan wrote that. It was a joke. It seems NFL fans just love to hate the raiders MORE than root for their OWN team. Here is another article since you love to bash my Raiders. This INdy Colts fan was really lame. Notice the counter arguments in the comment section. bleacherreport.com/articles/218847-da-woe-of-da-raiders-what-is-it/show_full

Ok, I know that alot of people don't get why people like the Oakland Raiders, but it is tradition. I live out here and I defend them to the death. You may think Davis Brainwashed me, but don't you think ESPN has brain-washed you about the Raiders? How many of you guys actually found your own original opinion about them when it comes to bashing us? I get alot of feedback from people repeating some of the exact same things that ESPN says whether it comes from Mel Kiper or Trent Dilfer. I understand that the 2nd round pick in Michael Mitchell was controversial and I admit, I didn't know the guy either before the draft and was saying what are we doing in my mind. But the reaction here in Raider Nation actually was a smile. The Raiders made this fan look like a genius. I regret I didn't read this article and watch his highlight reel before hand, but I believe he has a good work ethic and can make an impact. We haven't had a guy like this in a long time and Safety has been a position of need. Obviously time will tell if it's a reach or not, but I'm satisfied seeing where we got him because the Chicago Bears would have taken him at 49th overall.

Uh, I was born to hate the Raiders, ESPN didn't need to brainwash me.

You my friend are an exception since you're a division rival. I just don't get how fans like the Dallas Cowboys or Washington Redskins will pick on the raiders when it shouldn't even matter.

Since you keep talking about Davis more than me, you wonder why I like Al Davis or at least others side with him despite what the media says. First off, it's the local thing, he founded the team and helped find the AFL just like your man Lamar Hunt did. I don't see why things need to change there.
Second, it's us against the world. People out here in the USA like being the "villian" or "bad guy" and Al Davis pretty much fits that category. Sure the media hates him, but he's an icon and has shown deep dedication towards the team. Yes there are fans that want him gone too, but a true fan sticks no matter what.
Third, alot of people can be stubborn out there and people like others who stick with their instincts ignoring the other opinions. Yes the Kiffin thing was dysfunctional, but that is gone now. We can move on to this fall and really believe in this team. Sure we're not going to win every game, but Cable has really turned this Raider team into a "Team-First" mentality and we hired players with a good work ethic.

Hunt was the main founder of the AFL, Davis played a very minor role in the establishment. It's just that Davis hasn't been good this decade (and don't give him credit for the Super Bowl run in '02, credit guys like Rich Gannon, Jerry Rice, Joey Porter, etc), he's made poor franchise decisions, but yet Raider fans still love him. His decisions have made the Raiders go downhill. Why can't he just hire a GM? I want to see the Raiders be competetitve, so Al, LEARN HOW TO HIRE A GENERAL MANAGER!

We were competitive in the last two games. I think people forget we ended the season 3-3 and don't argue those were garbage games either because we beat a Houston team fighting to go 9-7 (who also was on a hot streak and we ended it). The Denver Broncos who were hot and expected to keep the momentum going. Chris Johnson replaced DeAngelo Hall at CB and shut down Eddie Royal compared to that opening season game. We also beat a Tampa team that had the 10 point lead in the 4th quarter and normally we would have collapsed just like it looked like we would against Houston. But no. We came back and really made Eagles fans like Whale happy. The Running game will be very solid next year.

Al Davis stuck it to the media on the Richard Seymour coverage yesterday. Take at look at this article. He also got some cheap shots in there at Lane Kiffin for enjoying the loss to my UCLA Bruins. Another reason to like Al Davis, not insane, but did the right thing after what all the media has been saying about us. Also a little video here.

Al Davis is classless, always has been, always will be. Maybe the critics suck, but still, Al Davis is always being an ass for no reason. Sticking it to Lane Kiffin huh? If Kiffin is so bad why did he hire him in the first place? And if Kiffin is going to get mocked for criticizing opposing coaches, why does nobody get mad at Davis when he constantly mocks all teams in the NFL not named Oakland? My opinions about Old Balls haven't changed, if he dies, I don't think I'll be very upset.
