But we won the national title two years ago for the Big 12. Then again, Kansas and Texas are the only teams that have been decent every year in the Big 12 era.

Gayhawks, that's the first time I've ever heard that. Did you get that from the clever Mizzou fans?

I got that from youtube. Youtube has taught me how to smack-talk teams when I read the comment sections to some videos. I can agree the Big 12 in football blows with the exception of Texas haha. They gotta prove they aren't overrated.

I'm not sure which sport (or sports) Crum4Pres was talking about, but the Big 12 doesn't blow in football, are you serious? Just because we lose bowl games the Big 12 blows? They were the BEST conference last year, bowls are not the only things that matter.
But I get the "Gayhawks" from Mizzou fans all the time.

The Big 12 is overrated. Well, at least Oklahoma anyway. Look at the bad losses they've had over recent years.
btw, i like the Crum4Pres name, haha; as much as i love Pitino, Crum won us two titles!

The Big 12 doesn't have a good non-conference play. They schedule Cupcakes more than any other conference. I'm dissing my own Colorado Buffaloes when saying this.

What conference doesn't schedule cupcakes. The beloved SEC schedules just as much cupcakes if not more. I know the Big 12 is overrated, but that doesn't mean they suck.
Yeah Crum was a great coach, but it's fun to call you Crum4Pres, haha

If you look at detail though, the Big 12 hasn't won against RANKED conference opponents very much. I'm not one of those crazy SEC fans, but they do prove they are worthy in non conference play. Pac-10 has the most brutal schedule of them all.
Here is an example of the big 12 schedule. OK State actually has 4 home non conference games and all against mid-major schools.

If the SEC proves they are worthy of beating cupcakes, then so can the Big 12. The Big 12 may be overrated, but they don't suck
By the way, Oklahoma State plays Georgia at home, you think Georgia is a mid-major?

Well it is funny how we're arguing about the Big 12 rather than Mizzou. Yep, Mizzou sucks

I need a little explanation on this video:
I saw the description of each Mizzou Follie, but I don't understand all of them. What is the "5th" down thing all about? I wasn't a college football fan for awhile and I don't get all the fun of poking mizzou in this video with the exception of KU winning and Tyus Edney.
I copied pasted the list below and please explain each.
1. MU v Nebraska "The Kick" touchdown 2. Student section after David Padgett's shot closes Hearnes 3. The infamous Ricky Clemens 4. Steve Stipanovich's shooting himself in the foot, then blaming it on a robber, then admitting he was lying. 5. A "full" Mizzou arena during a men's home bball game. 6. Quin Snyder getting some TLC from a fan's popcorn. 7. Chase Daniels picking his nose on the sidelines...then eating the boogie. 8. Colorado's "Fifth Down" touchdown victory. 9. Skinny Antler dancing. 10. Cheerleader falls. 11. Sports Center anchor and MU grad John Anderson sports his Bucknell shirt @ MU v KU hoops game. 12. Paige Laurie, namesake of Paige Arena. 13. Quin working for his boss. 14. Tyus Edney takes Jason Sutherland and the Tigers the length of the court. 15. Rhode Island knocks Mizzou out of the first round in the 1988 tourney to cap 3 straight 1st round exists by the Tigers. 16. Arthur Johnson breaks his back. 17. Kansas defeats Missouri in Columbia to go 16-0 in the Big 12. 18. Tigers dance during their rap video. 19. Keyon Dooling has big eyes. 20. What happens when you Google "Missouri Final Four Appearances".
btw... Mizzou overcame any fear of playing in Boise beating Marquette in the same building that Tyus Edney had that famous layup.

That my friend is the greatest video on YouTube. And I have no idea what you're trying to say. The whole video is bashing Missouri, that's it. I don't know why I need to explain it, it's flat out hilarious.

Well the 5th Down was a game between Missouri and Colorado in 1990. During the game, CU players were continuously slipping because the turf was not sanded and Mizzou players were wearing longer cleets because ot that. Toward the end of the game, Mizzou had a 31-27 lead with Colorado in the red zone. Basicly what happened was the CU players were confused and spiked the ball on 4th down but had no idea it was 4th down. Nobody, including the refs, realized that play was 4th down, so the players were left on the field and the Colorado quarterback was able to get into the endzone on 5th down. Absolutely hilarious how Mizzou was on the bad side of it.

Can you help explain the following numbers?
2,3,4, 9, 12, 13, 18, 19.
Those are the ones I don't understand.

2: Kansas vs. Missouri 2004. That was Bill Self's first season, and the Jayhawks were doing well. The Tigers meanwhile were having a very disappointing year after being picked to win the Big 12 before the season. It was the last game played at the Hearnes Center, their former venue (they now play at Paige Sports Arena). At the end of the game, David Padgett (who transferred to Sam Earlson's Cardinals, damn you, haha) scored a basket with 2 seconds to take the lead 84-82, and Kansas won the last regular season game at the Hearnes Center (it wasn't the last game because they were in the NIT, haha!)
3: Good ol' Ricky Clemons. He was a point guard on the basketball team that got arrested for assault and battery on his ex-girlfriend. He later accused his teammates of receiving money from assistant coaches, which was not true. Then he did some other bad stuff (I forget the rest of the story) and eventually was dismissed from the team.
4: Sorry, I don't really know about this story.
9: Just a lame member of the Antlers (the Mizzou fans that torment the other teams) showing off his dancing skills with his belly. That's all that is.
12: I love this story. Mizzou opened their new arena in the fall of 2004. Bill and Nancy Laurie (Nancy is the daughter of Bud Walton, brother of Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton) paid naming rights for the venue to name it after their daughter Paige. Paige however was not a Mizzou alum, she went to your favorite school, USC. It was later discovered that she had been paying her roommates to do her homework, and once this was discovered, she returned her diploma to USC and Mizzou took the name off. It's now called Mizzou Arena (how lame), but to me it will always be Paige Sports Arena.
13: I believe this has to do with the firing of Queen Snyder and now works at Wal-Mart. I don't really know about this either.
18: Simply a dumb rap video that the Mizzou basketball team from the late 80s made.
19: I believe Keyon Dooling was fouled or something like that and he fell to the ground and he had a strange reaction, haha.
Hope that helps you understand things more.

Thanks for the explanation. I haven't been a true college sports fan until about two years ago. I just followed Pac-10 stuff and UCLA Basketball primarily.
That Mizzou Arena thing is hilarious. I give Mike Anderson alot of credit for having a really successful season after all the heat he encountered. Going undefeated at home was cool and I saw the KU-Mizzou game that was in Colombia and alot of people who saw the game to its entirety went nuts. I assume alot of that team is gone and they must rebuild but that was a great way to end the season beating stupid Memphis.
