You stalking this guy now? And why does the little league team call themselves Great Lakes when KY is no where near them? Nope I am not stalking he took tons of pics tonight Good question about the Great Lakes don't know The represented the Great Lakes Region! The Great Lakes Region is one of eight United States regions that currently send teams to the Little League World Series, the largest youth baseball competition in the world. The region's participation in the LLWS dates back to 1957, when it was known as the Central Region. However, when the LLWS was expanded in 2001 from eight teams (four U.S. teams and four "International" teams from the rest of the world) to 16 teams (eight U.S. and eight International), the Central Region was split into the Great Lakes and Midwest Regions.

Looks like another player cut today Kige!
Rafael Little released by the Titans
Rafael Little was released by the Titans this morning as they cut their roster to 75 players. Rafael had 4 carries in the preseason, but only managed a long of 2 yards and had -4 yards for his overall total. He also had one kickoff return for 18 yards. Rafael signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent, but spent last season on the team's Reserve-Non-Football list after knee surgery.

Hey Kige, I just read where the KHSAA announced the schedule today for the state football finals and where it will be held! You guessed it! Houchens/L.T. Smith Stadium in Bowling Green. That should be good for you as a reporter's stand point!
Football finals schedule set
The KHSAA announced the schedule today for the state football finals, which will be played Dec. 4-5 at Houchens/L.T. Smith Stadium in Bowling Green.
The five-week playoffs will begin Nov. 6, with the state final being played one week earlier than last year. There will be three games each day at the finals, and no conflict with the Western Kentucky University schedule. The Hilltoppers play their final game of the season Dec. 3.
The schedule:
* Friday, Dec. 4: Class 4A, Noon; Class 2A, 4 p.m.; Class 5A, 8 p.m. * Saturday, Dec. 5: Class 3A, Noon; Class 1A, 4 p.m.; Class 6A, 8 p.m.
Bowling Green will host the finals for at least two years. The site beyond 2010 has not been determined.

Katz on WKU's schedule
• The NCAA tournament selection committee should use Western Kentucky's Ken McDonald as someone who understands how to schedule into the NCAA tournament out of a non-"big six" conference. McDonald's Hilltoppers will be the favorite to win the Sun Belt, but he has positioned himself to get a possible at-large berth. WKU is in the NIT Season Tip-Off with a legitimate chance to get to New York since it's in a bracket at rebuilding LSU. Western Kentucky also plays at South Carolina and Southern Illinois; hosts Tulane, Evansville and Houston (in February); and goes to Louisville, plays Vanderbilt in Nashville and hosts Mississippi State. Tulane and Evansville are solid home games for a team out of the Sun Belt. The other games are all against teams that could be in the postseason with South Carolina, Louisville, Vandy and Mississippi State projected to be in the NCAA tournament.
"It's aggressive,'' McDonald said on the first day of school Monday in Bowling Green. "A year ago we rolled the dice and we weren't supposed to be very good [losing to Gonzaga on a buzzer-beater in the second round of the NCAA tournament]. We've got good young talent coming in and we're going to test them early.''
The beauty of this schedule is that none of the games is a one-shot deal. The Vanderbilt game in Nashville is part of the Sun Belt Classic and is likely going to be a rotating scenario with Tennessee and Middle Tennessee State. The hope is that the four teams will switch in 2010 with Tennessee playing Western Kentucky and Middle playing Vandy.
The Louisville game is the second of a four-year deal. Western Kentucky beat Louisville last season in Nashville. This year's game is at Freedom Hall, the game in 2010 is in Bowling Green, and the final game of the contract is at Louisville's new arena. The Mississippi State game is the end of a two-year deal with the Bulldogs.
The contest with South Carolina is the first of a four-year deal that Darrin Horn has to own up to after leaving WKU for South Carolina. Horn's exit contract called for a four-year deal with Western if he left for a BCS-level school. It's the same thing that happened to Dennis Felton when he went from Western to Georgia. Horn is entering his second season at South Carolina. The contract was pushed off for a season after the two teams couldn't agree on a date in 2009. McDonald also hopes he can continue the SIU series. A year ago, Western Kentucky lost to Houston and Mississippi State but beat Southern Illinois, Louisville, Georgia and Tulane in key nonconference games.

Courtney Lee adjusting to Net changewww.nydailynews.com/blogs/nets/2009/08/courtney-lee-adjusting-to-net.htmlCourtney will be fine! He was so homesick when he got to WKU his Freshman year. So much so that everyone thought that he would quit! Danny Rumph (RIP) talked Courtney into staying and giving it a try, and took Courtney under his wing and Courtney did GREAT! So Courtney will be ok in NJ! Courtney Lee has reported to voluntary workouts in New Jersey and says he is ready to make the best of his trade from the Magic to the Nets. "I come in here and have a chance to be option two or three," Lee said. www.fantasysp.com/player/nba/Courtney_Lee/501547
