Yep, went back to the old look. I like the old ones better, so I'm happy.

If Julius Erving can join Elton Brand and Iguodala.. you guys would be dominant. Is his spirit gonna determine the 76ers season? maybe.

Sixers will finish a distant 2nd to Boston. Maybe they can become the 4th best team in the conference behind Boston, Cleveland and Orlando.

The thing I do question is their ability to shoot free throws or shooting in the clutch. There are times the 76ers went cold in games.

They don't have many deep threats, and they definitely were not a great foul shooting team last year. Hopefully Brand plays the whole year this time around. And give me a scouting report on Jrue Holiday...

Jrue Holiday I find is inconsistent. Seeing he was a one and done.. We really don't know much about him. According to Rivals and Scout... he had a complete game. I think he couldn't do well in Ben Howland's system of play, but he showed he has trouble on his jump shot. I think he is an ok passer, but Kevin Love to me passed better than Holliday.
He is inconsistent at times and I found him terrible at the free throw line. He obviously has the potential and upside, but he was terrible in his one season at UCLA.
If he stayed and played point guard which is his natural position, maybe he'd be better but he can't make shots down the stretch. Too inconsistent for me.
Your 76ers obviously drafted him for his upside but I just didn't like him. I wish I saw him at PG a little more because I think he fits the true PG position, but Darren Collison was a little better and I couldn't stand watching Holliday play. His defense is ok, but not as special as I hoped. He was definitely a bust for UCLA when it came to offense. Maybe the 76er system translates well with him...

He is a project in reality. Don't expect him to make an impact until 2 or 3 years from now. If he buys into the system of Eddie Jordan easily, then he'll be fine. Rivals and Scout considered him a "Can't miss" prospect. He was just a bust as a UCLA bruin. Didn't you see him play against your Nova Cats?

A little bit, but I wasn't paying too much attention to him. I would have if I knew he was coming to Philly. And I figured he'd take a few years since he is only 19. Only LeBron type talent can make immediate talent when they are 19.

The thing I wouldn't do is depend on him to make shots down the stretch in the clutch. I found his jumper to be flimsy and inaccurate alot.

You must hate the Knicks. No UCLA products. We have Washington's Nate Robinson though and Jordan Hill from Arizona. Anyone else from the sucky Pac-10?

Why so obsessed with Pac-10 alumni? It's a little ridiculous. If you're obsessed with UCLA alumni I might be able to understand, but the entire Pac-10? You don't see my raving about Big 12 alumni, hell I hardly ever even talk about Kansas alumni in the pros!
And yet you hated Tony Gonzalez when he played for the Chiefs.

Didn't Tony Gonzalez play at Cal? He was on the basketball team with JKidd if I remember right. They knocked Duke out the year they were going for three in a row.

Yeah Gonzalez was a two sport star at Cal. Could have played in the NBA but failed when he tried out for the Heat. Roller says he couldn't root for him until he got out of KC. You root for all these Pac-10 alumni everywhere but not one of the best just because he played for the Chiefs. Don't understand it.

Really, didn't know he tried out for the Heat. I know he invented that slam dunk over the uprights for his love of basketball.

It's hard to root for guys on your rival team. You know how CowboyTD is like that with Brian Orakpo right? And a small rule on alumni... I don't root for all Pac-10 alumni, but when there are a few teams that are neutral, I preferably go for the Cal, Stanford and UCLA alumni just because I followed them more deeply than other schools.
I don't root for One or two and dones... (ie.. Could care less for Russell Westbrook, Kevin Love, Robin and Brook Lopez, Spencer Hawes etc..)
Jrue Holiday can be terrible for all I care (nothing against the 76ers).. but I will always cheer for Jason Kapono! Good 3 point specialist. It's hard to root for any alumni who are on a rival team. That includes my hometown guy Jarrad Page who ironically is also a UCLA alumnus.
Jordan Hill is fine Dink. I have nothing against the Knicks. It's just Boston I hate right now.

Any Bruins on Cleveland? I'm a very casual fan of them at most. All about UL college hoops here!
