So in case you guys didn't know, Arrowhead Stadium, the best goddamn stadium in the NFL (until the Cowboys open their new one, damn you Jerry Jones), is being renovated and most of it is complete. It includes two new high definition scoreboards, a new sound system, a ribbon board around the stadium, some new suites, new concourses, more concessions and restrooms, and eventually will include a "Horizon level" and Chiefs Hall of Fame. The renovations that they've gotten done look pretty good. Some of these were needed, we looked weird with old fashioned scoreboards and the restrooms were horrible.
But I have one complaint. They decided to take out the Ring of Honor (famous Chiefs players and their numbers being displayed around the stadium). What are they thinking? And get this, instead of having the old Ring of Honor, the Chiefs players will be displayed ELECTRONICALLY! THIS IS BOGUS! One of the many things I enjoyed at Chiefs games was looking at the names of famous Chiefs players including Len Dawson, Emmitt Thomas, Derrick Thomas, Christian Okoye, and great administrators such as Lamar Hunt and Hank Stram. But they're replacing that with ELECTONIC DISPLAY? WHAT A JOKE! BRING BACK THE RING OF HONOR NOW!

And its cheaper too. I never cared about the big jumbo screens. Those are for fans with ADD.

I could care less if it's cheaper to take the Ring of Honor. That was one of the coolest parts of Arrowhead Stadium, it brought back lots of memories for me, but they take it out? Please don't make the excuse about it being cheaper.

You misunderstood Scottie. It was cheaper to have the ring of honor. These jumbo trons cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and really don't do much. Wait to you see the one in Dallas. Apparently one screen runs along side the entire field!

Well it wasn't expensive to take it out. I'm still mad about it. But that scoreboard in Dallas is ridiculous!

My Raiders don't have a ring of honor. You're being a real homer for the Chiefs. I think some other stadiums out there are really cool looking like the Cardinal's stadium.

Shoot me since I'm being a homer. Come on every fan is a homer! Goddamn! And besides Arrowhead is one of the best stadiums in the NFL because of its great fans not to mention top rated tailgating. The Cardinals new stadium might be nice, but their fans hardly ever even went until last year.

I don't know if Roller and I need to worry about Denver too much this year. Both of our teams are still rebuilding and hopefully my Chiefs can make a difference. As for San Diego, OVERRATED GODDAMN TEAM WITH DELUSIONAL FAIRWEATHER FANS! But in Denver, it will be a long season. No Shanahan and no Cutler, they got rid of those two for Josh McDaniels, and wait for it...wait for it...KYLE ORTON! Orton threw three interceptions in yesterday's game. Sure it's only preseason, but my god Orton is going to be horrible. That's fine with me.

Good memories here... with the exception of stupid Darrell Russell in the end.

Not as good as Larry Johnson's game winning touchdown in 2005. I nearly passed out during that game, Vermeil decided to go for a touchdown, I was nervous as hell. But we prevailed. Unfortunately I couldn't find it on YouTube though.

I remember that game.. it sure hurt. The game I showed above felt like winning the superbowl though. knocking KC out and sending Seattle in the playoffs was a thing of beauty.

I remember when Seattle played in the AFC West. Nobody really cared for them though.

Seattle had and still does have a better fanbase than those Chargers. They number 12 is retired for a reason out there.

I meant they weren't hated, nor did they really hate anyone in the division. They were clearly the odd man out. They have a great fanbase, won't take that away from them.

Well they weren't really hated because they normally sucked. BOSWORTH!!! Believe it or not, I, David Dinkins Jr., owned a Brian Bosworth jersey. He looked so cool, but he sucked so badly.

The Chiefs and Denver were still hated. You know how painful it was to see John Elway win? There were so many Stanford fans who became Bronco fans during those years. Seattle was the odd man out though because they came LAST while the other 4 are the same age.

I honestly liked Seattle's old uniforms better than their current ones.

Yeah the royal blue jerseys with the silver helmets and some green looked cool. They switched to a darker blue and now don't seem to wear very much green or silver. They should bring the old unis back, at least wear them as "throwbacks."

A lot of teams have completely redesigned their uniforms or made minor changes to them in recent years. But the Chiefs have had virtually the same uniforms since moving to Kansas City.
