Definitely Villanova. They are my pick to win the Big East. They only lost Dante Cunningham and have a great class coming in. Louisville still has players like Samuels, but obviously won't be the same. UConn got hit hard, Pitt got hit hard, Marquette got hit hard, and Syracuse lost Flynn. It will be interesting to see what happens. My dark horse in the Big East is Seton Hall. They have a talented returning class. I think they'll make a run at a tournament bid!

Nova will make noise for sure. I think Michigan State has enough people too. They only lost their seniors but their players who have stayed there will get better. The biggest Darkhorse is Cal. They have alot of good players and I've actually seen these guys in person.

Dominic Cheek, Maalik Wayns and Mouphtaou Yarou
We should win the Big East and contend for the title.
Definitely watch out for West Virginia though. They return everyone except for Alex Ruoff I believe. Huggins knows how to win! UConn did lose alot, but they were loaded with talent last year. Kemba Walker is a really good player. ND is another team to look out for. Harangody returns and yeah they sucked last year, but they have a good team. Sam, Louisville has enough to make some noise in the Big East. 'Cuse has a good front court, but they lost their big three.
Nova WVU UConn ND Louisville Who knows from there....

Cal and UW are the only Pac-10 contenders out there. UW however lost their big man down low but they have a very talented Backcourt.
Cal had a very good team last year despite the first round exit. All they lost was a center but the person replacing him will be solid. Isiah Thomas and Jerome Randle are the most underrated players in the nation. Look for them to make noise.
Oregon State is the biggest sleeper of the conference.

Murray State is likely to give both teams a run for it.

Sorry to be a hater, but I'm not sure if Kentucky can be a Top 5 team yet. This is a very young team and they have a coach in his first year. They'll be good no doubt, but I'm not sure if they can be considered a Top 5 team quite yet. They don't have very much expierence.

Any time a program like Kentucky has a chance to be really good they get ranked high. Kansas is in the same boat. Duke, UNC, UCLA and other historic programs get that benefit too. Duke gets it the most. They've had shitty teams the last three years and always seem to be ranked in the top 10!

A team I did forget to mention on this list would be the Texas Longhorns. I think they have enough experience and youth on this team. UCLA better not be ranked to start this season, I'll be pissed if it happens.

Huggins knows how to win! Huggins also knows how to lose. The guy can never win a championship with the types of teams he assembles. I absolutely hated UC when he was here...and I was going to UC at the time. Besides UK and KU I see Villonova, UNC and Texas as the threats to win it all. I think Mich St will really suffer without the big guy (his name escapes me, Gorich or something close to that). Their offense depended on him.

Even Bill Self managed to get a team to the final four and he's always nervous as hell. Remember that Davidson game?
