I don't know how you two can root against a player with so much heart. Maybe you'll be right and his physical abilities won't make in the pros, but why root against him? So stupid. I hate certain teams and programs too, but I generally always respect gutty performances. For example, I hate the Yankees, but Derek Jeter is a pros pro!

I'd take Jeter. Hansblow is horrible, most overrated player in NCAA history.

How the hell was he an overrated NCAA player? He won a title, a Player of the Year, set the ACC scoring record, etc. If he fails in the pros that doesn't mean he was an overrated or not a great college player. Would you call Ralph Sampson a terrible college player cause he didn't have a good NBA career?

He won a Player of the Year award that he didn't deserve. It's amazing how a guy who wasn't even the best player on his team manages to win POY. It has nothing to do with the NBA. He was overrated. Man Whale loves Hansblow almost as much as roller loves Al Davis!

North Carolina is my 4th most hated team in college basketball, and I can't find it in my soul to call Hansblow the most over rated player in NCAA history.
Have you ever heard of a guy named Harold Minor?!? I mean they called the guy Baby Jordan, if that's not over rated I don't know what the hell is!

You're just a hater everything Carolina, Jayhawks. Hansbrough was the PERFECT college player. While other players skip town for the big bucks of the NBA, Hansbrough kept coming back to UNC to get the job done. He definitely deserved that player of the year. I hate Carolina, but I will tip my hat to players who deserve it. You are way off base Scottie, way off base. Maybe all that sex you've been having since your girl has moved in has ruined your brain!

Wow what a cheap shot in bringing back Al Davis in THIS thread. I have respect for Hansbrough in how he played the game. I don't see why I should hate on him unless I'm a Duke fan.

Was he a good player? Yes. But was he as good as everybody thought? No. Maybe not most overrated player in NCAA history, but he at least was slightly overrated. I mean his stats weren't always amazing. Both Lawson and Ellington were better than Hansbrough and those two guys were the main reasons why they won the national title this year. Hansbrough can get credit, but he shouldn't get the most credit. Beasley was a better overall player than Hansbrough, I hate K-State but I thought Beasley should have won POY. He was a good player, I won't take that away from him, but he wasn't godlike and he was overrated.
That being said, he'll suck in the pros!

Well on April 5, 2008, "Coleslaw" Aldrich, a freshman who hadn't been getting that much playing time, showed the world just how overrated Hansblow truly was, and also let the world know who he was.

Wow nice video. I laugh how much he missed that dunk though haha.
I actually didn't watch that game since I was so mad my Bruins lost to Memphis a few hours before. I remember being so torn between Memphis and KU but I tuned in to watch the final 5 minutes of regulation and cheered after every missed free throw by Memphis.
