As many of you probably know, the Cowboys are beginning a new era at their new Cowboys Stadium. They spent I believe $1.4 billion on it, and it deffinitely looks nice. But the problem is it's video board. Biggest in the world, I don't remember the dimensions, but it's the length of the football field (or at least close to the length) and is hung above the field. And during the Titans-Cowboys preseason game the Titans' backup punter punted a ball up and hit the video board.
Of course this would be a problem. The video board is way too low and I'm surprised they never tested the scoreboard's height above the field to make sure problems of kickoffs and punts don't hit the video board. But dumbass Jerry Jones (he's almost as bad as Al Davis, jesus) assumes it will all be good. Way to go Dallas, way to go.
I was watching Channel 5 news from Nashville last night when they were talking about this. Before the game Titans punter Craig Hentrich told Jeff Fisher that he would make a bet with him that he WOULD hit that score board and Fisher just kinda blew him off. During warmups, both Hentrich and rookie punter A.J. Trapasso hit the scoreboard. Then during the 3rd quarter of the game, Trapasso did hit the scoreboard again. Jerry Jones says there are no plans to raise to the massive screens any higher.
I, like Hentrich will bet this won't be the first or the last time that screen is hit!
